Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2, 2026
TraceLookup is operated by REM Vision LLC. These Terms govern your access to and use of TraceLookupand its phone and email lookup features (the “Services”). By using the Services you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Introduction
Welcome to TraceLookup. We provide reverse phone lookup and reverse email lookup that surface real, publicly-derivable facts about a number or address, such as line type, region, format validity, reachability, and email deliverability risk. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and REM Vision LLC(the operator of the Services, referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”).
The Services are offered only to individuals who are at least 18 years old and who agree to use them lawfully. By using the Services you represent that you meet these requirements. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
2. Class Action Waiver
To the extent permitted by law, any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services will be resolved on an individual basis. You waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action. This waiver is a material part of these Terms. If it is found unenforceable in your jurisdiction, the remaining provisions still apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
3. Services
TraceLookup performs phone and email lookups only. Results are drawn from two sources: open telephony metadata (via the libphonenumber library) and a licensed data partner. Depending on the query, a report may include number validity and format, carrier and line type, reachability, VoIP and do-not-call indicators, phone risk signals, and email deliverability and mailbox state.
Where the partner holds a consumer record for the number or address you enter, a report may also show a registered name, a possible current street address, an associated phone number or email address, and, for an email lookup, a possible employer. These are records the partner returns as potentially associated with your query, not confirmed facts about a named person. Partner coverage is limited to the United States, a match is never guaranteed, and many queries return none at all. Accuracy and availability vary by number, email, and source, results are not provided in real time, and a report reflects only what was available at the time the lookup ran. Reports are not intended for any purpose where accuracy or completeness is critical.
TraceLookup does not perform image lookup, VIN lookup, facial recognition, identity verification, person tracking, device monitoring, or real-time location or GPS, and we do not provide private investigator services. We do not compile criminal or court records, family-member associations, social-media profiles, or location history about the person you look up. Where a report section is not sourced from a live signal, it is labeled as such and never fabricated.
Pro subscribers may save their own past searches for convenience. Saved searches are tied to your account, are not publicly displayed or indexed, and are for your personal use only.
4. Accounts & Access
To use the Services you provide a valid email address. You agree to give accurate information and to keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Access is for individual, personal use; do not share access or create multiple accounts to circumvent limits. We may suspend or terminate access if we detect fraud, misuse, or a violation of these Terms.
You can request deletion of your account and its associated data at any time by emailing support@trace-lookup.com.
5. License to Use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not scrape, copy, reproduce, resell, distribute, modify, or reverse-engineer the Services or their content, interfere with their operation, or circumvent any security or access controls. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
6. Content & Accuracy
The reports, results, and data provided through the Services (“Content”) are for informational purposes only and are provided on an “as is” basis. Content reflects information available from the applicable sources at the time a lookup is generated and may not reflect later updates. We do not guarantee that Content is complete, accurate, or current, or that the same lookup will return the same results later.
Content is for your personal use. You may not publish, post, forward, or otherwise disclose Content to third parties, and you may not rely on it as a substitute for professional advice or for any decision that requires independent verification.
7. Payment Terms
TraceLookup offers free basic phone and email checks. TraceLookup Pro is an optional paid subscription. When you start Pro you are charged $3.99 today for a 7-day trial. After the trial, your subscription automatically continues at $29.99 every 4 weeks (a 28-day billing cycle) until you cancel. We disclose these terms next to the checkout button before any charge.
Optional one-time add-ons (for example, extra priority lookup packs) are separate, clearly-priced charges applied only when you choose them; nothing is pre-selected and nothing recurs.
Payments are processed by a PCI-DSS-compliant provider; we do not store full card numbers. Prices may change for new subscriptions or purchases, but we will not change the price of your active subscription without advance notice and a chance to cancel first. The price shown at checkout applies to that transaction.
8. Not a Consumer Reporting Agency (FCRA)
TraceLookup is not a consumer reporting agency, and the Content is nota consumer report, as those terms are defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. The Services are for personal, informational use only.
You may not use TraceLookupor its Content to make decisions about a person’s eligibility for credit, insurance, employment, housing, tenant screening, government benefits, or any other purpose regulated by the FCRA. It is your responsibility to ensure your use complies with applicable law.
9. Communications
By using the Services you agree to receive transactional messages such as account, purchase, and subscription notices; these are necessary to operate the Services. We may also send marketing emails about features and offers, which you can opt out of at any time using the unsubscribe link. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages.
10. Cancellations & Refunds
You can cancel at any time from your account page or by emailing support@trace-lookup.com. Cancelling stops all future charges; you keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period. Your lookup credits are tied to an active subscription: any credits left in your balance stay available through the end of the period you have already paid for, and are used up on a first-come basis. When the subscription (or trial) ends, unused credits expire and cannot be transferred, refunded, or cashed out. There are no partial refunds for the remaining, unused portion of a billing period after you cancel. The trial fee is handled separately, as described next.
Separately, the $3.99 trial fee is refundable if you request it within 7 days of purchase. Recurring subscription charges are generally non-refundable, except for billing errors such as duplicate charges or an incorrect amount, or an extended service outage. To request a refund, email support@trace-lookup.com with your account email and the transaction details. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, typically within 3 to 5 business days.
11. Acceptable Use
Use the Services only for lawful, personal purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws. You are responsible for how you use any information you obtain. Do not misrepresent your identity or intent, and do not share or resell reports without our prior written consent.
You agree not to use the Services or any Content to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, dox, defame, or otherwise harm any person. Do not use automated tools to scrape or extract data, attempt unauthorized access, or bypass rate limits or other technical safeguards.
12. Prohibited Uses
The following are strictly prohibited and may lead to suspension, termination, or legal action:
- Any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive activity.
- Any FCRA-regulated use, including credit, insurance, employment, housing, or tenant-screening decisions.
- Harassment, stalking, defamation, or infringing the privacy or rights of others.
- Infringing the intellectual property rights of others.
- Scraping, crawling, or automated data extraction, or reverse-engineering the Services.
- Distributing spam, malware, or attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the Services.
- Impersonating any person or entity or misrepresenting your affiliation.
13. Security & Vulnerability Reporting
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please report it promptly to support@trace-lookup.com. Good-faith research is welcome, provided you access only the minimum information necessary to demonstrate an issue, avoid disrupting the Services or affecting other users, and do not retain, disclose, or misuse any personal information encountered. Nothing here authorizes denial-of-service attacks, social engineering, spam, or any activity prohibited by law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless REM Vision LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and service providers from any claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising out of your use or misuse of the Services, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or any activity conducted through your account. This obligation survives termination of your use of the Services.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, REM Vision LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, licensors, and service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue, or business, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Services, or any errors or omissions in the Content.
In no event will our total liability exceed the amount you paid to access the Services in the six months before the event giving rise to the claim, or $100 if you have paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
16. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services and Content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the Content will be complete, accurate, or current. You use the Services at your own risk.
17. Third-Party Links
The Services may link to third-party websites or resources for your convenience. We do not control or endorse them and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. Accessing third-party sites is at your own risk.
18. Intellectual Property
All content, software, design, logos, and other materials that make up the Services are owned by REM Vision LLC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Your license to use the Services does not transfer any ownership. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Services, or remove any proprietary notices, without our prior written consent. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
19. Dispute Resolution
Before pursuing formal action, please contact support@trace-lookup.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally, in good faith, within 30 days. If we cannot resolve it, disputes will be handled on an individual basis as set out in these Terms. Small-claims matters, intellectual property disputes, and requests for injunctive relief may proceed directly in an appropriate court.
20. Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the Services are governed by the laws applicable to REM Vision LLC, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your own jurisdiction. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, unless a longer period is required by applicable law.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms to reflect changes to our business, the Services, or legal requirements. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes, for example by posting the updated Terms with a new “last updated” date or by email. Changes apply going forward. If you do not agree to a change, stop using the Services.
22. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions stay in full force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and REM Vision LLC regarding the Services and supersede any prior understandings. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including those on intellectual property, liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will survive.
